LSI Management & Staff

J. Clayton Miller
Chairman
Clay Miller has devoted his entire career to the security industry. Clay spent many hours as a child working with his father, Harry C. Miller, who was then chairman of Sargent & Greenleaf. Clay’s keen insight into security technologies grew through his years at S&G where he eventually became president in 1976. Clay left to purchase Lockmasters, a company his father had help found in 1955. He has conceived and developed a number of security devices including the X-07 lock currently licensed to Kaba Mas and holds in excess of 20 patents. He's a founder of the Safe and Vault Technicians Association.
Eric Elkins
General Manager
Eric retired from Federal Service after 29 years of experience working with locking systems and security hardware. He participated on the F-12 Committee of the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) for several years and is a long time member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). He was promoted to Director of the DoD Lock Program in 1991 and participated on the Interagency Advisory Committee for Security Equipment (IACSE), Storage Equipment and Locking Systems (SEALS) subcommittee from 1991 to 2007, holding the position of subcommittee chairman for the last 6 years of his involvement. Eric was the driving force behind moving the GSA Equipment Test Program from the Army at Ft. Meade, MD to the Navy at Port Hueneme, CA. He set up the structure and provided oversight for this program, which is now nationally recognized for capability and excellence.
Lisa Young
CFO
Lisa oversees the financial and administration areas at LSI. Lisa has worked within the lock industry prior to LSI, she was CFO at our sister company, Lockmasters Inc. She has held a number of financial leadership positions with companies in the Central Kentucky region. She is a graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants.
Deanna DeBorde
Director of Education & Marketing
Mrs. DeBorde is the primary corporate and public relations contact for LSI. As Director of Education & Marketing she handles government and corporate contracting, curriculum development, scheduling, instructional resources, as well as, manages the efforts of the advertising, marketing, public relations and sales departments. Ms. DeBorde graduated from East TN State University in 1990 with an M.Ed. in her chosen field.
Priscilla Roberts
Office Manager - Woodbridge Virginia
Priscilla comes to us from Sentara potomac Hospital. She has a long history in the medical field. She branched off to join LSI-TOSS as the Office Manager in our Virginia location. She provides support to students and instructors, as well as oversees the daily functions of this state-of-the-art technical facility.
Ron McBride
Law Enforcement Consultant
Ron is a retired chief of police who served thirty-five years in municipal police services in the states of Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio. After retirement he chose to be involved in a variety of projects that has kept in active in the police community. He serves as chair of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Ethics and Image Committee and was active in the development of the DiscoverPolicing program. Ron is deeply involved in officer safety programming. In his role at LSI he is assisting the organization is becoming more involved in the state and local police community.
Ryan Griffeth
Materials Coordinator
Ryan manages purchasing for LSI, runs the LSI Store -- in both its brick & morter and online incarnations -- and is responsible for sales of GSA labels. Ryan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Molecular Biology and is finishing his M.A. degree in Ministerial Studies with a concentration in leadership. Ryan also works closely with the LSI teaching staff to put together course manuals and class materials.
Barbara Craycraft
Education Assistant / Museum Coordinator
Barbara has many years of experience in the security industry and plays a vital roll at LSI. She handles everything from inquiries to enrollment to student mailings. She also provides essential support to LSI students. She's also the resident expert on the Museum of Physical Security, providing guided tours to visitors and helping scholars with their research.
Sam Johnson
Media Services
Sam is the media specialist for LSI. He handles the photography, printwork, website(s) programming, audio, video, multimedia, LMS administration for LSIeCourse.com and more, in a multiplatform environment. Sam comes from a corporate advertising/business ownership background, but loves the hands-on challenge of mastering the media for the world's most prominent technical security organization.
