Course Description

This 3 ½ day class is designed for those responsible for securing cargo moving through an intermodal transportation system who need to observe, inspect, assess and report on the general security mainly of US freight railroads, passenger and commuter rail.

Transportation Inspectors working in a rail environment have several specific things that they MUST know to work around rail.
This course will help the student in becoming capable of developing and maintaining credible, professional work relationships throughout a complex multidisciplinary transportation system. Personnel from other modes of transportation cross trained in rail can be rapidly deployed to a rail security emergency event. This training provides TSA personnel with knowledge to meet their mandate as the lead federal agency in rail security.
