Course Description
Students will be able to identify vehicle year, make, and model as well as specific locking systems from various supplied materials. Students will also be able to pin point the proper key generation technique using impression, alternate tools and methods with wafer and pin tumbler locks, as well as generating a working key from original copy and by code. Become a proficient Automotive Technician Locksmith in an ever changing field. |
Goals
Students will learn about domestic and foreign vehicles and their VIN number and locking systems. Gain ability to locate information in available reference manuals and identify lock construction, key generation, space and depths, key code usage availability, and locations. Student will be able to determine the wisest and most effective choice of key generation. |
